MVP Rankings #1

Here are my first MVP rankings:

1 Chris Paul, PG, New Orleans Hornets
Last year he came very close {2nd} in the MVP race. This year will probably be his year. He's averaging 21.8 points, 11.8 assists, and 2.5 steals, while shooting 50% from the field, which is really good for his small 6 foot self. And the Hornets are doing pretty well already.

2 Amare Stoudemire
He had 49 points against the Pacers a couple days ago. That's REALLY good. He was 1 short of his career high of 50, which he scored against Portland in 2005. His shooting is also REALLY good, it's at .696. He's also averaging 25.8 points a game, 9.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1 block. I have him at #2 in the rankings because his Suns are 3-1. But he will continue to be dominant and unstoppable, so I expect him to be #1 sometime.

3 Kobe Bryant
He is at #3 because he can shoot much better than .446. But he is doing really well, and the Lakers are 4-0. This is the year.
4 Joe Johnson
Give some credit to him and his Hawks. They are unbeaten, and he is leading them with 28.5 points and 5.7 assists, while shooting .547 from the field and .889 from the free throw line. That's really impressive. He's going to be this high in the rankings {or higher} if he and his team continues to keep playing so well.

5 Chris Bosh/Carlos Boozer
I'm putting these two at a tie. Sure, Boozer's team is doing a little better {4-0 to 3-1}, but Bosh is putting up slightly better stats. So I have them tied. Bosh is averaging 26 points and 10.8 rebounds. He is also shooting .514 FG and 80% on free throws. Boozer is averaging 20.8 points, 10 rebounds, and shooting .627 on field goals. But Boozer's only averaging .25 blocks, which is TERRIBLE for a power forward. But they both are great. But Johnson and Bosh play tonight, if Bosh wins he knocks Boozer out of these rankings and move ahead of Johnson.
